An ode to my counterparts in their sweats sitting in front of their laptops. It’s Cyber Monday! I usually don’t involve myself too much in these sales but I got a little carried away this year…. Sony Alpha 6400 w/ 16-50mm lens $1000
First order of business: a new camera. My trusty Canon G7x isn’t so trusty anymore- the lens takes about 5 on/offs to actually open, and the image quality is a bit less sharp than it used to be. This isn’t me dragging the camera- in fact, I would STRONGLY recommend it to ANYONE interested in getting into vlogging. I’ve filmed almost all of my videos for the past 3 years with G7x (on sale here!!!) and it’s been amazing. It’s just time for me to move on to a more grown up camera. It wasn’t even on sale, but I bit the bullet (after doing TONS of research, and shout out Dad for helping me!). I purchased the Sony Alpha 6400 with a 16-50mm lens which included the body and lens. I additionally purchased a 3 year warranty.
The YouTube community as a whole has been graduating from the G7X to the Canon m50, but I wanted to find a camera with similar (or better) specs with a screen that flipped up, not out, the way the M50 does. Anyways, I can’t wait to get my camera. Not even a Cyber Monday sale.. but I got it on Cyber Monday… moving on.
