If you were to open my makeup bag anytime within the past 3 years, you would find these 5 products within. We all have our go-to products that we reach for without thinking leaving the rest of our routine to experimentation and constant change. Here are the 5 products I can’t live without (in the order I apply them):
1. Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint
Don’t be fooled- this product is called “skin tint” for a reason. It is very light coverage but for someone who is primarily happy with their skin minus slight discoloration on the cheeks and eyelids (yours truly), this product does the job. This is my absolute go-to for everyday makeup if I feel like I want a little something without going full fledged. Also, if you’ve hung around for a while, you’ll know I don’t mess with complex makeup, so being able to blend a bit of this around my face before running out the door is a godsend.
If you want 10% off your Glossier order, start shopping from http://glossier.com/reps/margotlee. The discount will apply at checkout.
I wear shade G9.
2. Becca Cosmetics Opal Highlighter Liquid
SHOP HERE
Just like your regular f*boy, there’s something about this concealer that has me running back to it despite knowing there are plenty other options out there. I love the tinted color and the application- just make sure you blend it in or else this product can leave harsh lines. I think there is no other makeup more beautiful than highlighter on the tip of your nose and on your cupids bow (right above your lip). So dreamy!!
I have always bought the product in a pack because I like the application tool but it also comes in a tube if you want to forego the powder.
3. Boy Brow
SHOP HERE
This is such an easy way to get your brows in check and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I can’t deal with the fuss of drawing in brows, making them even, filling them in… Boy Brow lets me do a quick swipe and style before moving on. Fool. Proof.
I wear shade Brown.
4. Kat Von D Tattoo Liner
SHOP HERE
You’ve probably figured out by now that I like the easiest options possible when it comes to makeup. I’ve been using liner for my top lid for quite some time, and only last year did I come across Kat Von D Tattoo Liner (now you won’t find me without it). Its felt, which I already loved, but the applicator is designed for precision and it isn’t a b*tch to take off.
5. Better Than Sex Mascara
SHOP HERE
This has been my go-to, right hand man, dependable friend for quite some time. The consistency is perfect (a little goopy right when you get it but just wipe excess on the side), gives you length and volume, and is super easy to remove with any face wash or makeup remover. I would stay away from the Waterproof BTS because it’s impossible to remove, but if you use this one, I promise you will find your new sidekick.
